Scope and Nature of Role

Prepare, set up, sell and serve alcoholic beverages and food to guests with speed and excellent customer service.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient service of guests in a fast and courteous manner.
  • Set up and stock the bar; replenishing cups and bottled products, related condiments, preparing ice tubs, cleaning bar surfaces etc. 
  • Prepare and serve beer and wine in strict compliance with the alcohol sale and service policy.
  • Familiarize yourself with the drink and food menu.
  • Constantly monitor the needs of the guests including accuracy of food and beverage orders, special accommodations, and timely delivery of the orders.
  • Respond to guest complaints quickly and effectively; communicate any significant guest complaints or problems immediately to Stanley's Supervisor, Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Input orders into a computer system for processing as well as confirm and collect payment from guests in a timely manner. 
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and reconcile cash and inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain full awareness of circumstances affecting quality of guests' experience including assisting fellow team members to enhance the guests' experience.
  • Communicate well in an English-speaking environment.

  • Comply with uniform and appearance policy.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation standards and proper care and handling of equipment and utensils. 
  • Become familiar with beer and wine products; be able to assist customers with selection and purchase.
  • Keep not only the bar, but the entirety of Stanley's clean and organized by taking out the trash, clearing plates and glasses, picking up debris and vacuuming as needed.
  • Become familiar with appropriate cleaning supplies and maintains attractive and orderly appearance, cleanliness and sanitation of Snack Bar and surrounding areas in accordance with the Snack Bar Sanitation Guide.
  • Be comfortable with multitasking, taking food and drink orders, cleaning and cooking.
  • Be flexible with adjustments to duties and stand assignment on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Conduct accurate opening and closing inventory count.
  • Complete Bartender Closing Shift Duties.
  • Perform other work-related duties requested by supervision.
  • Cleans cooking surfaces, counters, cabinets, floors and other areas of snack bar as necessary.




  • Customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to serve alcohol.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to frequently bend and constantly hear, reach, see, speak, stand and walk.
  • Positive attitude, self motivated.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for working with numbers.
  • Can follow routines set forth by supervisors.
